Aloha at Home- emotion videos for children on sesame street

Watch a Video About Emotions with Your Child

Sesame Street offers many videos about emotions. Watching emotion videos together wiht your children and talking about the times you’ve felt those emotions will help children understand about having feelings.  Helping children identify their emotions will reduce stress for them and you as their caregivers.

ASK

What did the character feel?

How did you feel?

Tell your child how you felt and why.

This kind of engagement with your children will help them develop, learn and explore their emotions. You may be surprised by what you learn about your child from these conversations, and vice versa, they may be surprised to hear you feel sad, scared, and “hangry” too sometimes. These conversations will bring aloha into your home.
