Instructions

We schedule time to get children ready for school, time to buy food, time to brush our teeth, but do we schedule time for our own self-care activities? As mentioned in the previous You at Your Best Activity, self care is important, because you are important. Schedule days and times to do these self-care activities.

  1. Take 10 minutes to yourself. Find a quiet place.
  2. Get a pen and paper to jot down ideas.
  3. Now that you have named some things that help you de-stress and made a list, create a plan.
  4. Try to find the most feasible activity from your list that you can do every other day. Take a look at your schedule, and reserve a time.
  5. Write these things down.

Reserving a time makes it more realistic that you will do it. A great place to start is to reserve that time for yourself.
